When I was a kid, my birthday was pretty much celebrated one day...the day, October 25. We didn't have parties for every birthday, but when we did, the party often took place on our actual birthdates. It isn't that way for my kids. Last year MK had pretty much a week of celebrations, so she deemed it "Maddiepalooza." The name stuck, and apparently it has begun. Her birthday is actually on Tuesday, but she is having a party next weekend. Her hair was kind of her big present from us, and that was last weekend, so it continues. Here is a picture of her today...just a few days of 13 left.
I was scrolling through some old posts and noticed the landscaping we had done in the front yard. I tried to simulate the picture tonight to see how much it had grown, so here are the before and now pictures...although the sun was setting so it's not the highest quality.
