MK has a new boyfriend. They've known each other since preschool, but he moved, and they'd lost touch until recently. He seems like a really nice guy, and he treats her really well which is a plus for us. He also likes cars and football - that doesn't hurt either.
One thing he likes to do is surprise MK. Tonight he pulled off a great one. Around here, it isn't just to get asked to prom - it's how you get asked that is a big deal too. So he arranged this and pulled it off tonight.
He had another friend take MK out to get something to eat. While they were zone, Z came over and set out tealight candles to spell PROM. They wouldn't stay lit on the porch, so we moved into the garage. The Big Man, T. Willy and I helped, and that made it a lot more fun. He had flowers and waited for her in the garage. When she came home, I had one big line. "Before you sit down, will you get my purse out of the garage?" And she obliged and got a big surprise. It was a lot of fun to be a part of it, and she was so excited and happy!!!
