Another party

T. Willy's scout den had a Christmas party tonight, and MK came with us. She was a huge help and a lot of fun to have there. When it was over, we stopped at the Big Man's restaurant for hot chocolate. Here are pictures.

Party!

It's the night of the Christmas party at the Big Man's work.

Just a matter of time.

I think our "T. Willy believes in Santa" window is pretty brief. Today we stopped at Wal-Mart, and we happened across Santa. His first question: "Is that the real Santa?" and before we could answer, he decided it was an elf. He's a logical little guy, so he reasons a lot of things. He has decided that Rudolph isn't real, but Santa is. So I'll just enjoy this picture for now, and we'll enjoy Santa while we can. And we'll thank MK for helping him, especially when a friend from school saw her.

And T. Willy took one look and said, "It's not good." He sensed a vibe that we were looking for something different, so he said it was okay; he just liked it the other way better...my little diplomat.

Day off

I took the day off from school, so I was able to put T. Willy on the bus. It's always fun for me since I do it so rarely. Here he is getting ready.

MK convinced me to decorate for Christmas this evening, and she was a big help! I usually do it the day after Thanksgiving, but it didn't work out this year. It's gotten cold in the last couple of days, so I'm glad that it looks festive since it feels like December now.

We are back at school to support our girls' basketball team. They aren't going to win, but we enjoyed watching them anyway. MK made a sign for her friend.

Movie day

The kids and I friend went to see "Tangled" today with one of MK's friends. We had a really fun time and enjoyed the movie. It has been so nice having this time off together.

It's over!

The play is over, and I'm relieved and sad. It was a lot of work, but the kids made it so fun! Plus, MK was a part of it, and that made it even better! Here is an article from our local paper. Yes, my name is spelled wrong, but he gave us a really nice review. Now we can rest for a little while before we start it all again!

One week from today...

Our show opens one week from tonight. Instead of having a day off of school like most people, our set builders, cast and crew are here working hard! We are taking a break right now, so I thought I'd post some pictures.

T. Willy asked to take some pictures tonight, and here are the results. If you know me, you know that I am not a big fan of this cat, but as I say to MK and friends during their "blonde" moments....at least she's pretty.

Happy Veteran's Day

Today was the Veteran's Day parade. MK walked in it with the high school band, and T. Willy and I walked with the Scouts, and the Big Man watched it from the side. It was windy and cool...a great day for a parade!

The game last night was so exciting! We were really pumped up for it, but we lost by a point. Still, it was a fun night; we had a great time, and just like last year when we played the same team, T. Willy fell asleep during it.

After the bonfire, we stopped by the store and ran into our good friends, Darlene and CJ. Here are MK and CJ together.

What a fun night!!

Tomorrow is the district championship for the football team. It's a big game against our rival team. Tonight we had a bonfire pep rally at a local park. The band played, some players spoke, and then they lit the fire. We had a great spot to watch it, and it got really warm. Here are some pictures of it plus one of MK and me after rehearsal today.

Two weeks and one day

We are working hard toward opening night. It's coming around. Today we took a cast picture, so here it is. I've really grown to love these kids and really appreciate their hard work and dedication.
