Short but sweet

Camp was fun while it lasted. Unfortunately, T. Willy started running a fever this morning. The other scout parents helped us take down camp, and we were on the road really quickly. We're home now, and T. is resting, but even with Motrin, he's still running a fever. I'm hoping with some rest, he'll bounce back soon.

We did have a fun night, though. We cooked hot dogs over the fire and sat by the fire and talked with other scout parents. It was just relaxing, and that was really fun.

So here are just a couple of pictures. I'd have taken more, but we didn't do much today before we left.

Camping

The Big Man is working, and MK wasn't interested, so T. Willy and I are camping with the scouts this weekend.

T. Willy has gone to bed, and I'm sitting by the fire listening to stories. I hope you're having a fun night too.

Having so much fun it's giving me angina

There's an inside joke there, so if the kids read this, they'll get it. What a fun time with my parents and niece and nephew!!! I can't wait to see them again tomorrow after school!

I want to record this just so I don't forget.

My mom asked T. Willy if he was going to be in the spelling bee next year. He said he didn't think so "because it made me stagefright. But I didn't reveal I was stagefright." Exact quote.

Party time!!!

We had a fun time at Ty's party today. The kids played with a sprinkler my parents gave him and swam. We had to bribe them to get out of the pool for the delicious food that the Big Man made, but they ate happily and went back in the pool. What a fun day!

Company!!!

My parents came here yesterday and brought my niece and nephew with them! It's so great to have them here! Last night we went to Party City and the beach. So here are some pictures!

T. Willy is having his birthday party today. We went to Party City to get supplies for it. He asked for "Pokemon," so that's what we found. Then we went to the beach to walk around. It was a really fun night!

I have to share this.

Once upon a time, I had a niece who was a bit of a tomboy. She had an older brother and a younger brother and wanted to do everything they did. She is a 18 and a senior in high school now, and things have changed! She went to her prom this weekend, and I am not a bit biased when I tell you that she looked gorgeous!!! My brother made this duo of photos - before and after. I hope you'll enjoy!!

Big day!!

Today is T. Willy's 7th birthday. Unlike most children I know, he resists birthdays. He says he doesn't want to get older each time his birthday comes around. He said it going to bed last night, but when he woke up this morning, he told me that he was getting used to it, and he was glad to be 7. Whew. So happy birthday to our sweet 7 year old!!! We love you so much!

Sunday

After church, I took the kids to the mall. We found a new bathing suit for MK, but all T. Willy wanted to do was rode the merry go round. So he did!

Smile

We went to see a play at a local high school tonight. I snapped some pictures while we waited. It was a lot of fun and has me so ready for our opening night Thursday!

I have a vineyard.

Just kidding. I don't even drink wine. Much like my strawberries, I planted some grapes then kind of forgot about them. I took a look at them and found very tiny grapes in progress. I'm eager to see how many survive.

Haha. MK snapped this picture of her friend and me today at rehearsal. We were just behind goofy while we waited. The shows opens a week from tonight!!

It's becoming a sickness.

My favorite possession, hands down, is my iPhone. A close second, though, is becoming my Croc flip-flops. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. I start the day in heels, but my Crocs beckon me during rehearsal. The show opens next week, and my Crocs will get me through!

Today the Big Man sent me a picture of this plaque. He knows me well. Incidentally, his two months in Alabama ended today!! He's home for good.

Good morning!

The Big Man gets to put T. Willy on the bus, and I miss out on it. So today he sent me a picture of T. Willy at the bus stop. T. has a field trip tomorrow to watch a play at our local college. That should be a lot of fun for him.

Surprise

I planted strawberries a couple of years ago. We had a few last year, but this year I kind of forgot about them. I went out to rake leaves and pull weeds, and here's what I found!!!

Expensive lemonade

Our neighbor with the pony was pulling her trailer, pony inside, and decided to stop for some lemonade. Unfortunately, when she stopped, she sideswiped our mailbox. It was an accident, and she offered to replace it, so it ended up being very funny and made a great story.

Finally a reason to post!

T. Willy wants to earn money for a new DS game, so he thought of a lemonade stand. Our neighbor was having a yard sale today, so we tagged along.
